After looking at people's past storybook, there were three that stood out to me all for various reasons. The first that caught my attention was Goddess of Contagion. This one stood out in particular to me because of the title. I had many speculations on what this story would be about and when I opened it, I was caught by surprise. This story took a spin on incorporating the contagion of the Corona Virus, which is something that is very prevalent in today's world. I really found this to be interesting and wanted to read more because the author took a traditional story and added something that many people can relate to. I think the introduction was very concise but still very informative of what to expect in the story, but at the same time left me wanting to learn and read more. I also found it easy to navigate from the introduction to the actual story and so on.
(Amman: Goddess of Medicine)
The next storybook that caught my attention was Another Love Story. I am truly a sucker for anything that has to do with romance/love, therefore I found this title fitting for my passion for reading about love. Once I actually clicked on the storybook, I enjoyed the clean cut of the presentation and it wasn't overwhelming and easy to navigate through, which left me wanting to read it. Once I actually began to read the introduction the first paragraph is really what drew me in it was a quick summary of what the story was to be about. It seemed to be a cheesy love story of a beautiful woman with good morals and a man who has the destiny to be great and powerful and how their worlds collided. That is exactly what I love and I was excited to see the spin that the author was going to take on this well-known outline of love stories.
(The Main Characters: Ruru and Pramadvara)
Lastly, the final storybook that grabbed my attention was To Love and Lose. Again the initial attraction to this storybook was the title having to do with love, but now with the addition of loss (which is really a heart puller). I immediately clicked on this, and to my surprise, the format of this storybook was unlike any that I have seen. It was almost as if I wasn't actually reading, but in fact, being read to. There was an animation of a fire, which brought warmth and comfort and made me want to read more and see what more animations were to come. Once I read the introduction I really enjoyed the style of narration presented and the constant questions embedded within that made me want to read more to learn the answers. I am excited to learn more about how Hidimbi chose love over blood and how this broke her heart and caused her to lose everything.
